New Stretch Goals Announced! ASL Version of ElfQuest Audio Movie Greenlit!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks to your generosity pledges, we've been able to add an exciting an important Accessibility Upgrade for deaf and hard-of-hearing fans.

We're thrilled to announce that we have contracted a phenomenal ASL interpreter to sign the entire audio movie: Kaety Ochoa-Sanchez, BEI Advanced Certified Interpreter!

A good interpreter doesn't just sign: they perform the emotions and excitement of every moment moment. Kaety is a joy to watch! This ASL video will be made available by The Fantasy Network as a secured stream for all deaf and hard-of-hearing ElfQuest Kickstarter and Earlybird backers.

We want to thank everyone involved in production for helping us make sure that as many ElfQuest fans as possible can experience this project.

New Stretch Goals!

Wow, you all have exceeded our expectations in every way: we're at over $150,000 raised on Kickstarter for the ElfQuest Audio Movie... with time to spare for more stretch goals. What an incredible collective effort to support Wendy, Richard, and the rest of the audio movie team. THANK YOU!

So let's talk about the endgame here: when this production is done and fulfilled we want to make MORE episodes. And we're pretty sure that after everyone has experienced the first five episodes, the world will agree. 

We've been setting aside a healthy portion of every stretch goal for our production and development fund. What have we done with the additional funds so far?

• First, we upgraded the first five episodes: the audio movie is now over 4.5 hours long;
• We paid for remote studios with COVID-compliant protocols to keep our cast safe;
• We began writing five new scripts for episodes 6-10;
• We added crucial accessibility features; 
• Now, we want to put any remaining funds directly into development for the next audio movie.

And of course, we also want to continue thanking you for your support with new stretch goals:

•  $165,000 – A new Moonshade mini for all $100 and higher backers
•  $171,000 – A new Sun Toucher mini for all $100 and higher backers
•  $176,000 – A new Redlance mini for all $100 and higher backers
•  $199,000 – A new King Greymung BIG mini for all $50 and higher backers

If we reach all of these goals, $50 backers will be receiving two bonus minis (Madcoil and Greymung) and $100 and higher backers will be receiving EIGHT bonus minis (Nightrunner, Madcoil, Joyleaf, Bearclaw, Redlance, Sun Toucher, Moonshare, and King Greymung.)

Jacob Blackmon is hard at work on sketches for the poses and Jason Wiebe at Pariah Artworks is standing by to begin sculpting. We'll share progress as they make it!

Tim Russ is Sun Toucher!

Timothy Darrell Russ is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and musician. He is best known for his roles as Lieutenant Commander Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager, Robert Johnson in Crossroads, Frank on Samantha Who?, Principal Franklin, a recurring character on the Nickelodeon live-action teen sitcom iCarly, and D.C. Montana on The Highwaymen. He is also an amateur astronomer, which served him well in his breakout performance in Spaceballs.

Though blind, Sun Toucher is wise in matters of perception. His eyesight was lost by his staring at the Daystar for too many years, but outer sight appears to have been exchanged for the inner kind.

He is one of the oldest members of the Sun Folk, and wields a subtle magic that allows him to telepathically “see” into the hearts and minds of others as well as to interpret patterns of the climate, weather and impacts of the celestial bodies surrounding the World of Two Moons.

While Savah is undoubtedly the authority that the Sun Folk look to for matters of leadership, they go to Sun-Toucher for day-to-day guidance. He is fair, judicious and an important source of advice for his people.

“Sun Toucher” is actually just a title; his actual name is Anatim, but few other than his lifemate Toorah call him by it.

Yasha Jackson is Shenshen!

Yasha Jackson currently plays Jada on HBO Max’s Golden Globe nominated new series, The Flight Attendant, Dr. Alicia Golden on The Bold Type, and reoccurred last season on NBC’s Manifest. She can be seen in the upcoming STARZ series Run The World, HBO Max’s Love Life Season 2, and Paramount Pictures Clifford The Big Red Dog. She also stars in the newly released feature Killer Among Us (Amazon Prime), and is in several upcoming indie films. She’s done nearly 100 On-Camera, Voice-Over, and radio commercials and was recently nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedic Series.

A Washington, DC native- after graduating from SUNY Purchase, Yasha got her start in TV and film after being cast in the NBC Diversity Showcase. When she isn’t acting she serves at The Rock Churches (TheRockChurches.com) in NYC, and operates a coaching/self-tape service alongside her twin brother @TwinTaping.

Shenshen is the bubbly and vivacious younger sibling of powerful healer Leetah. A flirt and a gossip, she nursed a rivalry with her sister and worked hard to establish her own talents, primary of which are her midwifery skills. Ember, Sunstream, Mender and Tyleet are a few of the elves she helped bring into the world.

Strongbow and King Greymung are...

Will Friedle’s extensive career has spanned sitcoms, movies, videogames and animated adventures. His iconic underachieving elder brother Eric Matthews on the legendary tv touchstone of a generation, Boy Meets World was just the beginning of his amazing body of work. He is Terry McGinnis/Batman in Batman Beyond; Deadpool in Ultimate Spider-Man; Star Lord in Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy, Ron Stoppable, sidekick to the hero Kim Possible. Lion-O in the rebooted ThunderCats; Doyle in The Secret Saturdays; and Bumblebee  in Transformers: Prime and Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising, as well  as Transformers: Robots in Disguise.

Ray Porter is most recently known for his role as Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Porter played Darkseid through the use of motion capture and "went through a few different vocal gymnastics trying to figure out the voice". He is an 18-year veteran of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and television and animation projects from Sons of Anarchy to The Little Engine That Could.
